 Abstract:
Atmosphere plasma spraying (APS) and high velocity oxyfuel (HVOF) thermal spraying were using to deposited Nickel Aluminum (NiAl)/ hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) composite coating. In this study, the hBN powder was added to Ni-5Al coatings to increase the lubrication property of coatings. The hBN material was added to NiAl after blend or ball milled. Than, The NiAl/hBN composite powders were deposited forming NiAl/hBN composite coatings. Coatings properties of morphology, bond strength, microhardness and XRD were analyzed. In this case, better lubricate and uniform microstructure distributed coatings were formed when NiAl/hBN coatings were deposited using atmosphere plasma spraying method.
