As one of the largest growth markets in the world, India offers great potential for the utilisation of thermally sprayed coats in different industrial applications and sectors.

Together with its national partners (Messe Essen GmbH and Messe Düsseldorf India Pvt. Ltd.), DVS - German Welding Society has, with the International SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN INDIA trade fair, positioned an important sectoral marketplace for this technology in India. Together with the Indian partner society (IWS - Indian Welding Society), this trade fair will be staged for the fourth time already in Mumbai on February 10 - 12, 2010.

In addition to the subjects of joining and cutting, the market potential of thermal spraying is to be presented to the Indian market during SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN INDIA - also as an alternative to classic surface welding. Together with its American partner society (ASM - Thermal Spray Society), DVS will, for this purpose, offer a workshop on February 11, 2010 within the framework of the fair activities.

The DVS/ASM Thermal Spray Workshop will be structured in nine specialist lectures which will be delivered by renowned experts from India and Germany. Not only a description of the worldwide thermal spraying market but also overviews of the Indian market with special spraying applications will be presented. Furthermore, the workshop will deal with spraying processes and research trends, other industrial applications and utilisation trends for thermal spraying as well as powder and gas technologies. The workshop will be concluded with an overview of training and further education possibilities, standardisation activities and safety information.

All the visitors to the international SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN INDIA 2010 trade fair will be invited to take part in the Thermal Spray Workshop.
