Thermal shock resistance of plasma sprayed thermal barrier coatings |

Thermal shock resistance (TSR) of plasma-sprayed TBCs was investigated according to JIS H 8451. Al2O3, La2Zr2O7 or YSZ powders was used for TC spraying. The TSR was evaluated based on the relative tensile adhesive strength before and after thermal shock. It was found that the TSR comes to 773K for the Al2O3, 973K for the La2Zr2O7 and more than 1273K for YSZ. |
