 Abstract:
Arc-sprayed composite coatings are an attractive means to protect from abrasive wear provided they contain enough hard phases. Especially iron based cored wires are used widely in industrial application for wear protection of components. There is no information about how effect of the coating parameters on wear behavior of coatings. Therefore, Fe based cored wire selected for produced coatings by different process parameters and characterized all coatings with optic microscope, SEM and EDS. Phase formations of coatings analyzed by XRD. Then, pin-on disk wear test applied all coatings produced by different process parameters according to ASTM G99. After wear testing, the samples surfaces investigated by SEM and analyzed by XRD.
