 Abstract:
FeCr-TiCN powder containing nanocrystalline phases was p;roduced by me- chanical alloying method. 80Fe+10Cr+10TiCN(wt.%) mixture was processed
in ball mill.Effect of the drum rotation speed (200-960rpm), process duration(2-10 hours),the process medium(air, argon), presence of a special additive (zinc stearate) on structure, phase composition and microhardness of the process products were studied. It was shown that the synthesis of FeCr from Fe and Cr components is completed fully
after 10 hours treatment in the ball mill under 960 rpm rotation speed..
The product consists of FeCr-matrix with ultradispersed inclusions of
TiCN and has 950HV microhardness.FeCr- and TiCN-grains have 32nm and
7nm in size respectively. This powder is intended for using in thermal
sprayingof wear-resistant coating.
