 Abstract:
Cold spray (CS) process produces dense, low oxide coatings which can be used in such diverse applications as corrosion protection and metals repair. However, there is a limitation to apply to the industrial products because of the cost and undesirable coating properties such as pores in coatings by type of gas or combination of a powder and substrate materials. Therefore, an improvement of the CS coatings was attempted by an ultrasonic impact treatment (UIT) and Friction Stir Processing(FSP).
