 Abstract:
A series of high speed and high temperature abradability testing were done on the AlSi-hBN abradable coating with the maxim blade tip velocity up to 300m/s and the temperature of 450. The single factor influencing tests of the incursion rate, the pass number and the blade tip velocity were done respectively considering the influence of the pass number. The scratched surface of the samples after test was analyzed by the stereoscopic optical camera, SEM and EDS. The results show that the pass number has evident influence on the testing results; the blade-tip wear is not obvious after low pass number and becomes significant after high pass number. The blade-tip wear decreases as the incursion rate and blade tip velocity increase. The abradable material transfer to the blade tip is the main wear mechanism in all tests.
