Abstract: |
The S K S system for lifelong education of welders has been developed for the last four years. The three important system constituents are skills, knowledge and stability of welders that are achieved by a continued process of lifelong education. We-learning is the foundation of this system directed towards the needs of the entire welding community, especially the welder as the holder of quality in welding. Being surrounded by modern technologies, virtual simulators, mobile devices, new platforms, social networks - it all enables the acquisition of skills, knowledge and stability in real time, anytime, anywhere. Parallel with system development research into the influence of modern teaching material, aids and technology on the system were carried out. A total of 350 student welders and 100 experienced welders were part of the research. Intensification of the research along with the pilot program have been conducted during the last two years through a European Leonardo da Vinci Partnership Project InteractivWeld (2013. - 2015.). Partners in the project, Industrial and Trade School Slavonski Brod and Kon ar Steel Structures Zagreb from Croatia, European Welding Federation from Portugal, GSI SLV BZ Rhein Ruhr from Germany, SVS (Swiss Welding Association) from Switzerland and Fronius International from Austria have come to interesting results which will be presented in this paper. Modernizing the education process and its continuance are necessary prerequisites for todays welders to completely be able to respond to complex technical and technological demands and materials with the corresponding quality in welding.
