 Abstract:
In order to monitor the corrosion condition of components in chemical containers, YAG: Ce3+ Coating is prepared, and the effect of acid corrosion on the luminescence intensity is studied. The powder is synthesized by the high-temperature solid phase synthesis technique. The coatings are prepared by air plasma spraying. Sulfuric acid and nitric acid solution are used as the typical acid. Microstructure and phases are characterized through using SEM and XRD, respectively. Effect of immersion time in the acid is studied on the luminescence intensity. It is found that the luminescence intensity shows the fluctuation tendency with the immersion time, which relates with phase composition.
