 Abstract:
High emissivity coatings used in high temperature condition have attracted a great attention for its significant energy saving properties in the worldwide. In this study, Spray granulation and Atmospheric Plasma SprayingAPS method was used to produce the high emissivity Ni-Cr oxide coatings with TiO2/TiB2 additives on stainless steel substrate. Compared to the TiB2-adding composite coatings(NCTB coatings) , X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of the TiO2-adding composite coatings(NCTO coatings) showed remarkable increment in the content of TiO. It was revealed that the grain size of the NCTO coatings was more lager than the NCTB coatings by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The infrared emissivity of coatings were investigated by Fourier Transformation Infrared Radiation (FT-IR) at room temperature. The emissivity of NCTO coatings was much higher than NCTB coatings in the waveband of 2.5-5 ¼m, similar in the waveband of 8-14 ¼m ,and lower in the waveband of 14-25 ¼m. The results subscribed that NCTO coatings were more suitable than NCTB coatings for high temperature application.
