 Abstract:
plasma spray-physical vapor desposition(PS-PVD) combines the advantages of both APS and EB-PVD, which is an important and promising research direction in the field of thermal spraying. But many challenges to apply this technology need to be faced it is necessary to have more and deeper research to understand the characterization of plasma jet and interaction of the plasma and powder particles. In the paper, applied optical emission spectrometry (OES) and enthalpy probe, the characterization of plasma jet with different parameters are studied. It is found that the plasma temperate in the center of plasma jet decreases with the increase of spraying distance; the addition of He raises the temperature of plasma jet, and the demixing of the constituents takes place in Ar/He plasma jet.
