Abstract:	Plasma spray physical vapor deposition (PS-PVD) was used to deposit yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) coatings with two different powders (Metco 6700 YSZ powder and nanostructured powder).Columnar-Structured yttria stabilized zirconia coatings was successfully deposited by 5~20¼m nanostructured powder.The coatings was consist of tetragonal phase zirconia.The failure of the coating occurred through cracking at the interfaces of the TGO layer to the YSZ topcoat.
