Ag coatings by cold gas dynamic spray (CGDS, or Cold Spray) technique under low and high pressure were investigated. As a raw materials, pure and Ag:SiC mixture (from 50:50 into 10:90 wt.%). While the relatively soft metals such as Al have been successfully coated even at low gas pressure condition in many practices, soft but heavy metal such as pure Ag could be coated only at the high pressure condition. However, in the case of Ag mixture, the coating was successfully done as low as 0.6 MPa. Furthermore, the composition of coating was always very Ag rich more than raw material. The roles of mixture additives in cold sprayed Ag coating were analyzed.
