 Abstract:
Compared with the conventional turbulent plasma jet, the laminar-flow plasma jet has the characteristics of high stability, small axial temperature gradient, low noise and so on. Laminar plasma jet's high temperature gas makes the smooth laminar flow, and the plasma gas is almost no exchange with the ambient gas, so the air and the impurity of the involvement is obviously decreased, which are beneficial to improve the quality of the coating. In this experiment, the ZrO2 coating was prepared by using the laminar plasma spraying technology. Through observing the morphology and structure of the coating under different spraying distance, the optimum technological parameters were determined, and the thermal conductivity of the coating was determined at the same time. The results show that it is worth developing this technology to prepare thermal barrier coatings.
