 Abstract:
Plasma sprayed thermal barrier coatings are suitable for thermal and hot corrosion protection of metal components. In this work, nanostructured gadolinia-ytterbiayttria -stabilized zirconia (GY-YSZ)coatings and nanostructured zirconia 8wt% yttria (YSZ) coatings were deposited by atmospheric plasma spraying and they were heat-treated at 1300 for 100h, in order to research effect of high-temperature on properties of coating. Compared with the YSZ coating, Gd2O3-Yb2O3 provided a high phase stabilization for zirconia, the coating remains single phase t' phase, and no signicant sintering phenomenon thermal conductivities of GY-YSZ coating are between 0.7W
