Abstract: |
Hard Cr coating by a wet plating technology is required for alternative technologies to ensure global environmental regulations items. In this study, the coating was carried out using a High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) coating process in order to compare the coating properties of the WC-based powder types. Vickers microhardness, wear and corrosion experiments were performed for different WC-based powder. In order to optimize the coating process, the in-flight particle velocity and temperature within the spraying process was measured.
