 Abstract:
Ti2AlNb Blade is one of the best choicesfor high pressure compressor of aero-engine to improve the thrust and reduce the weight.A series of abradability tests were carried out on the CuAlNi-Graphite, NiCrAl-Graphite, NiCrAl-Bentonite, and NiCrFeAl-hBN abradable coatingsrubbed toTi2AlNb dummy bladesat the maximum blade-tip velocity up to 300m/s at 500. Taking the influence of engines working condition into consideration; some tests with incursion rate as the single variable were investigated. The scratched surfaces of the samples after test wereobserved by the stereoscopic optical camera, and a ratio of the blade wear to shroud incursion depth (IDR) was introduced to characterize the abradability of coatings. The results show that NiCrAl-Graphite and NiCrFeAl-hBN abradable coatings perform very well rubbed to the Ti2AlNb blade, and the blade-tip wear is unobvious after abradability tests.
