 Abstract:
Due to low bonding strength of plasma sprayed coating, the chances of peeling of coating is increased and the field of application of the coating is gradually decreased. Therefore, an attempt has been taken to address the aforesaid issues and to develop a coating with high bonding strength and better mechanical properties, to apply in a harsh condition. In the current work, atmospheric plasma spray coating of NiTi smart alloy has been performed and the mechanical stability analysis has been done. In addition to the above, XRD, SEM and EDS, hardness of the coating ensures the quality of the coating. The image after the adhesion strength has been incorporated in the manuscript. The adhesion strength of the coating has been performed according to the ASTM C-633 method with the help of dummies. Adhesion test was performed for three samples coated with different coating parameters. Form the results it can be observed that the mechanical properties of the coating increases as the flow rate of the coating increases.
