 Abstract:
One of the main conditions for obtaining high-quality brazed joints is the wetting of the base solid metal with liquid filler metal When wetting, an interaction occurs between the filler metal and the base metal, mutual diffusion processes occur due to the presence of a concentration gradient of the constituent chemical elements of the filler metal and the base metal at the interface, leading to a change in the initial chemical composition of the filler metal. Therefore, the study of the wetting of the base metal with filler metal is of great importance in the development of the technological process for the brazing of various materials, including dissimilar metals.
This paper presents the results of studies of the wetting of molybdenum with a filler metal of the Cu-Mn-Co system, shows the features of the formation of the structure of the filler metal after spreading and crystallization under vacuum conditions and presents the results of X-ray spectral analysis of individual zones of the filler metal drop.
