| Abstract: |
Rapidly solidified amorphous and microcrystalline foil-type filler metals represent a promising approach for joining dissimilar materials. They offer a number of advantages - extremely high chemical and phase homogeneity, narrower melting and solidification ranges, instant diffusion activities of components, good wetting braze surfaces. The results of an investigation in the field of amorphous filler metals development and in brazing titanium and zirconium alloys with stainless steel attested that using of these materials for corrosion- and radiation resistance structures for atomic technique is very promising.
