Abstract: |
Wire electron beam additive manufacturing (WEBAM) facilitates great opportunities to provide semi-finished products of certain materials other additive manufacturing technologies experience great challenges. The advantages of WEBAM are related to the specific properties and capabilities of the electron beam, and to the operation in a high vacuum. An overview of the WEBAM activities at pro-beam is shown with different geometries and a variety of materials such as titanium, stainless steel and copper.
