 Abstract:
The study on electron beam welding processing of Ti-6Al-4V ELI alloy with large thickness was carried out. The microstructures and mechanical properties including tensile strength, fracture toughness, growth rate of the cracks, fatigue property, were investigated. The results showed that Ti-6Al-4V ELI had good weldability and could get parallel deep weld by selecting proper process parameters. At the same time, mechanical properties of joints were over 80 percent of the substrate, while the microstructures and mechanical properties along the thickness direction were nearly the same.
