To guarantee high and highest quality of products, a high qualification level of employees is of essential relevance. Within approval testing of operators according to EN 1418 the operators knowledge and practical skills are checked without a detailed guideline. The EN 1418 is a standard and not a guideline even not one for training, nor education contents.
By the presented course Skilled Person for Electron Beam Welding according to DVS guideline 1199 a structured guide for training and education of people dealing with thermal electron beam technology exists. Similar to what has been successfully introduced for laser and arc techniques, this course mediates a solid base of electron beam technology.
