 Abstract:
Turkey is one of the most rapidly growing markets over last years regarding on robotic and automation systems used in fabrication. Turkish companies have started to employ robotic and automated systems in order to stay competitive in todays national and international market.
As it is known that robotic and automated systems play an important role in achieving higher quality and productivity in a cost-effective way. Especially automotive, agricultural, railway industries and other fabrication industries related with welding operations increase their investments on robotic. Robotic welding and automation both provides continuous welding process with high production rates and is much safer than manual welding techniques in some applications.
In this study, overview of the automation and robotic welding technologies used in Turkey will be summarized and some examples and their competitive advantages in their fields and applications of automated systems will be underlined.
