Raising demands in industry lead to the request of better quality and, even stronger, on higher out put, also in paper machinery. A strong consolidation in the European paper production puts a growing focus on cost effectivness. Here it is important to view other cost models (like e.g. Total Cost of Ownership)than only the investment effort to gain the entire product benefit.
The presentation will demonstrate on selected examples, how and why thermal spray coating "push out" other cover technology from this business field, still maintaining a win/win situation for the supplier and th final customer. Even small differences in coating properties can determine the small line between succes and failure.
