 Abstract:
Electrical conducting and corrossion resistant Atmospheric Plasma Spray titanium sub-oxide coatings were applied onto conventional electrode materials used in batteries. Spraying conditions were studied in order to develop well-bonded homogeneous coatings. Performance of a standard battery was compared with a battery whose main electrical conducting materials were replaced by APS TiO2-x coated electrodes. Tribological properties of the coated materials were also analyzed
