 Abstract:
The thermal conductivity is an important parameter of iron-base alloy coating. many industrial areas (such as boiler, dryer and so on), improving thermal conductivity of coating is essential to save energy cost. The transfer of thermal energy between two iron-base alloy splats is a typical heat conduction. Howere, in spraying coating, there are many factors influence its thermal conductivity.in this study, through annealing process and changing alloy composition, trying to explain the influence of oxidation, impurity atom, porosity and grain size to thermal conductivity of iron-base alloy coating. Experiment show that, with increasement of boron content, oxidation contents will be obviously decreased in coatings and thermal conductivity of coatings will be rised. Meanwhile, when oxidations contents are similar, with increasement of boron content, thermal conductivity of coatings will be declined. After annealing process, grains of alloy coating grow up and porosity relatively decreased, both of them make thermal conductivity enhanced.
