 Abstract:
INCONEL738LC is a precipitation-strengthened nickel-base super alloy, which is widely used at many hot sections of gas turbine engines due to its excellent high temperature strength and superior hot corrosion resistance. But INCONEL738LC is so expensive material that it is important to save costs for maintenance of the gas turbine, so it is necessary to develop an adequate coating method to repair a chipped and a used-up gas turbine blade. But it has not been possible to make a dense INCONEL738LC coating by an existing high pressure type cold spray system because the particle temperature and the velocity was not enough high.
So in this study, INCONEL738LC coating samples fabricated by high pressure type CS system in some conditions were characterized. And then, the best CS coating condition of INCONEL738LC was estimated by the coating data and the calculation.
