WELCOME TO ITSC 2016 IN SHANGHAI

Shanghai is the largest Chinese city by population and the largest city proper by population in the world. It is one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the People's Republic of China, with a population of more than 24 million as of 2013. It is a global financial center, and a transport hub with the world's busiest container port. Located in the Yangtze River Delta in East China, Shanghai sits on the south edge of the mouth of the Yangtze in the middle portion of the Chinese coast. The municipality borders the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang to the north, south and west, and is bounded to the east by the East China Sea. Shanghai is a popular tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as The Bund, City God Temple and Yu Garden as well as the extensive Lujiazui skyline and major museums including the Shanghai Museum and the China Art Museum. It has been described as the "showpiece" of the booming economy of mainland China.

In this extraordinary surrounding ITSC will take place in the Shanghai International Convention Center connected to the Oriental Riverside Hotel. It is located at the heart of Lujiazui, the dynamic financial district of Shanghai. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is also next to the Convention Center and Hotel.

The Program Committee prepared the conference program very focussed on applications. Thermal spray technology has manifested its advances in lots of branches form medical industry over power generation (including conventional and alternative technologies) up to all kinds of mobility industries. The technical program of ITSC represents benefits and challenges of thermal spray solutions for all these trendsetting industries. Besides this, the technical program will also share the latest information about modern thermal spray processes, special coating characteristics and all kinds of consumables.

Another highlight of the technical program will be again the Session "Young Professionals". ITSC is still supporting young experts becoming part of the worldwide thermal spray family!

All practically interested experts will be addressed to get the latest information in the "Industrial Forum"?. The "Industrial Forum"? will be open to all Expo only visitors and conference attendees.
